What is Orienteering?

Orienteering is a navigational sport for all ages! Players follow a map to designated checkpoints where they log their visit. The player with the fastest time wins! (Although beginners may start by trying to beat their own time by using different routes on the same course.)

Large event courses are usually temporary, but smaller permanent courses have started popping up as a way for runners of all ages to get into the sport. Print a map and log off the website, then go to your local park and run the course. Some sites will even let you log your time to see how you compare to others who have run the course. If you are visiting a park you are unfamiliar with, a compass may be useful as well!

Our Purpose

Is to create free permanent courses in existing parks in Eastern Idaho, as well as building up the community to support them.
